Us
Joan Yap founded Asia Write
Resource Centre to provide cost-effective professional writing and
courses to corporations and individuals. She believes that good communication
is fundamental in today’s work environment with diverse corporate
cultures, multiple nationalities and complex business models. Most importantly,
communication must be accurate and politically correct in order to sell
a product, an idea or an opinion effectively.
Joan held
various senior management and service-oriented positions in Brokat Technologies,
Reuters, Union Bank of Switzerland and Olivetti. Her experience includes
general management, client relationship management, strategic marketing,
publicity, human resource management, operations control and staff development.
She holds
a MBA degree from University of Birmingham and was trained in IT and
Banking.

Before
joining Asia Write Resource Centre as Managing Partner, Dr.
Anne Ku was Chief Technology Editor of Platts energy magazines (McGraw-Hill
Companies). She has extensive consulting,
research and writing experience with Platts, Enron, Union Bank of Switzerland
and Spicer Oppenheim International. Dr. Ku has taught at London Business
School, SAE College (part of Middlesex University) and Thames Valley University.
She lectures
and writes in both English and Mandarin. She compiled and edited the book
“Risk
and Flexibility in Electricity: Introduction to techniques and fundamentals.”
Her published work can be found in Global Energy Business, Energy IT,
Platts Energy Business and Technology, Energy Power Risk Management and
Freepint Internet Newsletter. She is the founder of “Le
Bon Journal” an online publication for self-expression
to promote the arts.
Dr. Ku holds
a PhD in Decision Sciences from London Business School, MSc from London
School of Economics and BSc from Duke University.
